About

Our Ethos

Inspiration is in the details

Compassion is the foundation of our philosophy. Solutions are found in unexpected places and when you stop listening you miss vital opportunities to discover better answers. We believe undivided attention to your needs and a complete understanding of your project, down to the smallest detail, produces the best results. We approach each job by diving into the challenges and, together, we solve your most difficult problems – delivering unparalleled, integrated solutions.

We are also driven by a profound love of our work. Each team member at PSA has an insatiable craving to do what they do. Following this passion, our staff seeks to understand every aspect of building and creating spaces, making them multi-faceted experts in a wide array of disciplines. This urge to understand the world around us and develop a better understanding of our craft is what sets PSA apart.

We connect the seemingly unrelated pieces of a project – synthesizing them into cohesive concepts. By exploring and exploiting unique spatial components, PSA creates functional, original and effective design solutions.

How We Got Here

Our journey one brick at a time

PSA evolved from Creative Shelters Architecture which was started in 1975. Originally focused on home design and construction, Creative Shelter Architecture gradually moved away from the construction component of our business and became a full-service architecture and design firm. Following this shift, the company renamed itself CSA.

In 2007 CSA dissolved and Hap Pendleton formed Pendleton Sears Architects with longtime associate Darrell Sears becoming a name partner. In 2017, Darrell became principal partner of Pendleton Sears Architects, renaming it PSA Architects.
